This information helps to install the
browser plug-ins, which are necessary to run VCLab on your computer. The only
what you need, is to download the setup files and run the setup. Before you
start you should observe the information about the requirements, the browser
and the MATLAB configuration on your system.
If you have an old VCLab already installed, you must
deinstall it and continue with step
2.
Decide for which MATLAB version you want to install VCLab if
you have different versions installed on your computer. VCLab will be installed
for the version that has been run last.
If you have MATLAB not available on your computer, install MATLAB or
make it available from your MATLAB server.
Verify where the MATLAB.EXE file is on your computer or
server. If you reinstall or move MATLAB or your browser after a VCLab
installation, VCLab must be deinstalled and then reinstalled.
Download the actual setup file VCLab3.exe and finish the browser.
Run the selfextracting file VCLab3.exe Follow the
instructions of the installer.
If the installer finishes successfully, perform the installation test.
If you have installed for MATLAB 5, the installation is
finished.
If you have installed for MATLAB 6, run Matlab once from
a command window by typing "matlab /regserver" to initialize Matlab as an
automation server.
If you have installed for MATLAB 6 and MATLAB.EXE
is on a sever, ensure that the Path of your system environment is set to
the directory where this file is located. In most cases
\\mymatlabserver\matlab\bin\win32 .
Open the Installed Software Folder in your System Control Panel,
select VCLab x and press the deinstall button.
Deinstallation is finished.
If VCLab x cannot be deinstalled, remove the
following files from the directory
<disc>:\<programs>\Netscape\Communicator\Program\plugins\ :
VCLabPlugin.class
NPVCLabXx.dll
ClpBrdPlugin.class
NPShowClpBrd.dll
DdeLinkPlugin.class
NPDdeLink.dll
libxxx.dll
