HotEqn - Update Information

Update 4.00 (18. July 2003)

• mHotEqn adapted to XPCom for using with Netscape/Mozilla type 5 scriptable browser plugins.

Update 3.12 (28. October 2002)

• sHotEqn component for swing-based software introduced.
• All classes besides applet placed into new package atp.

Update 3.11 (23. March 2002)

• The new method getSizeof is introduced in cHotEqn and dHotEqn to determine the size needed for a mathematical expression without displaying it.

Update 3.10 (20. February 2002)

• The font files packed in the jar file are loaded with low speed. The font files have been packed into 5 gif files. Descriptor files are added. The jar file is now 1/4 of the previous size. Loading is faster.

Update 3.03 (1. December 2001)

• The mouse operation on selecting areas has been rewritten in cHotEqn. The searching selected areas has been extended and works correctly when the mouse is dragged over the limits of compound expressions.

Update 3.02 (15. June 2001)

• The getImage method has been modified to return null, if the image is not ready.

• The getImage method has been added to receive the component image object.

• The actual HotEqn 3nd generation emerged from the precessor version 2 and has been redesigned to be usable under Java1 and 2.

New Release cHotEqn 2.03ad and 2.03b (14. August 1998)

• The new HotEqn Component version is introduced. Now the component for use in other applications and applets is available. Further HotEqn applets will be developed on this component version. JDK1_02 and JDK1.1.6 is supported.
